For our client, an innovative, we are looking for a: Software Engineer Front End
You work on the further development of a Transport Management System (TMS). An in-house developed suite of applications that hundreds of employees work with every day at multiple locations in the Netherlands and Belgium. You play the role of a software engineer there. The web applications that you will be building are built with various front-end techniques such as Javascript framework Ext JS and Oracle’s APEX. The backend of the applications is Oracle PL/SQL and Java. In addition, there is a lot of integration with other software packages and devices such as on-board computers, scanners, etc. In addition to front-end development, you will also participate in the backend and complex integration issues.
The scrum team in which you will work consists of a product owner, scrum master (and also technical lead), a number of analysts, a tester and software engineers. You will work in the IT department, with about 35 enthusiastic colleagues.
Further:
Do you have a completed HBO or WO education and a number of years of relevant work experience.
You have good knowledge of software development, software architectures and application integration.
You have experience with front-end techniques such as HTML5, CSS3, XML, JSON and JavaScript. Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as Ext JS and JQuery is a plus.
You have experience with the underlying architectures such as REST services and common web servers.
Knowledge of PL/SQL and APEX is an advantage. Assuming you have experience with front-end techniques and programming in general, we will train you further in these platforms if necessary.
Do you have knowledge and experience with Agile development methods such as Scrum?
You have good communicative and contact skills with a flexible and goal-oriented attitude.
